Vegetable Broth

Day 3 of 5 days of fresh- Part 1.

So, that chicken broth was so good I decided to do some veggie too for another recipe. I still had some carrots, 1/2 an onion and garlic so that’s what I used!

the recipe:

  • 3 or 4 carrots, washed
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 bulb of garlic with the top cut off
  • a couple good shakes of thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 tbsp whole peppercorn
  • 6-8 c of water
Put it all in the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours! Strain and use in whatever you’re cooking that calls for broth!
